UNE’s Applied Exercise Science program combines cutting-edge coursework, hands-on labs, and real-world internships to prepare you for a career improving health and performance. Focused on human movement, you’ll learn how to help prevent disease, rehabilitate injuries, and enhance athletic performance. This degree is ideal for those pursuing careers in exercise science or graduate studies in health sciences, athletic training, kinesiology, or sport performance.
UNE’s Applied Exercise Science program offers unique opportunities through close ties with our medical school and access to interdisciplinary health care teams. You’ll gain hands-on experience in clinical settings, with courses like gross anatomy taught by exercise scientists.
With expertise in anatomy, exercise science, and athletic training, along with real-world internships and hands-on lab work, you’ll be ready to lead fitness programs, conduct fitness testing, and prescribe exercise for diverse populations, including healthy, health-compromised, and athletic groups.
